Origin Catch, located in Seattle, WA, is an online retailer of high-quality, fresh fish and seafood from all over the world.

Sourcing:

Most of our fresh product is coming out of Alaska and Hawaii where we have nurtured strong relationships with fisher-people, brokers, and distributers over the years. We also receive a bunch of incredibly fresh product out of our backyard, the Pacific Northwest.

In our opinion, time-to-market (the amount of time that a fresh sea product has been out of the water) for any fresh seafood item is as important as its initial quality, which was determined by species, catch origin, seasonality, harvest method, sustainability rating, product treatment on board vessel, handling, filleting, portioning, packing, and shipping. The seafood cold-chain is incredibly efficient at moving fresh fish from the fishing docks to our facility and then to you with speed and temperature control. Origin Catch is incredibly efficient at purchasing, custom cutting, and order fulfillment.

Operations:

Our facility is located in Seattle, WA and it gives us incredible access to the best fish and seafood in the world. Fish from the North Pacific, the South Pacific, and the Pacific Northwest is consolidated, cut, and then shipped out of our facility with speed.

Origin Catch receives ultra-fresh fish and seafood, locally from the Pacific Northwest, and globally from all 4 corners of the earth, into its Seattle, WA production facility daily. The top quality fish is graded-out, custom filleted and portioned, and then packed and shipped out to you for next day delivery. Our fishmongers and QC team have more than enough experience and plenty of passion for perfection when it comes to fresh fish and seafood; and the seafood cold-chain is incredibly efficient at moving fresh fish from the fishing docks to our facility and then to you with speed and temperature control. When it comes down to it, freshness depends on temperature control, purchasing, time-to-market, catch origin, seasonality, handling methods, and quality grading. Our goal is to apply quality to every aspect of the business, because we know that our product is only as good as its weakest link.

Sustainability of our global fisheries depends upon the success of the environmentally conscious commercial fishermen and their responsibly managed fisheries.
